Throughout her career, she has served as a mathematics teacher, gifted education specialist, principal, STEM program developer, Executive Director and currently serves as CEO and Founder of STEMulating Minds LLC. A sought-after speaker and presenter, Kendal has shared her expertise at national conferences including NCTM, NAPDS, LIMACON, and the National STEM Eco-Systems Conference in Washington, D.C. She is also a published author and has partnered with organizations such as NYU's School of Engineering to expand STEM opportunities for students. In recognition of her leadership, innovation, and impact in education, she was named one of Lehigh Valley Business's 40 Under 40 honorees in 2025.

In 2011, Art transitioned into the role as the AP U.S. history instructor at North Star Academy where he redesigned the curriculum for the course and helped to achieve the highest AP results in North Star’s history. Since taking over as the history department chair, North Star has consistently achieved some of the highest AP history scores among urban Charter schools in the country. Throughout his years at North Star, Art’s teaching and coaching of other teachers has been featured in some of the most influential books at the heart of education reform in the country, such as Teach Like a Champion and Leverage Leadership. Art and his AP U.S. history students were also featured in TNTP’s Room to Run series as an example of what students can accomplish when presented with high expectations and rigorous work. In 2017, Art stepped in as the Director of 5-12 History at Uncommon Schools and he was tasked with building rigorous, aligned history curriculum for all of the network’s middle and high schools.  In addition to his work at Uncommon Schools, Art has done adjunct work for the Relay Graduate School of Education, and in 2023, he co-authored his first book, Make History: A Practical Guide for Middle and High School History Instruction, which highlighted some of the core curriculum and pedagogical practices that have led to the high level of student achievement in history classes at Uncommon Schools. He holds a B.A. in History from Rutgers University and a M.A. in Education from the Relay Graduate School of Education.
